Coronavirus 'may never go away,' could become endemic like HIV, WHO official warns

WHO: World Health Organisation - Office of the Secretary-General's ...
The coronavirus spreading across the globe might never be eliminated, a leading World Health Organization official has said.

The novel coronavirus might "never go away" and instead could take on a status similar to HIV or AIDS, according to a top official at the World Health Organization (WHO).
Dr. Mike Ryan, who serves as the agency's authority on emergencies, told an online briefing Wednesday that the virus might be impervious to total obliteration, Reuters reported.
“It is important to put this on the table: This virus may become just another endemic virus in our communities, and this virus may never go away,” he said.
More than 4.3 million cases of the virus have been recorded worldwide, according to Johns Hopkins University's latest tally.
Multiple teams of scientists around the world are currently trying to develop a viable coronavirus vaccine.
"We may have a shot at eliminating this virus but that vaccine will have to be available, it will have to be highly effective, it will have to be made available to everyone and we'll have to use it," Ryan said. "This disease may settle into a long-term problem or it may not."
WHO infectious disease epidemiologist Dr. Maria Van Kerkhove struck a more optimistic tone during Wednesday's briefing.
"The trajectory of this outbreak is in our hands," Van Kerkhove said. "The global community has come together to work in solidarity. We have seen countries bring this virus under control. We have seen countries use public health measures."
WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus echoed that sentiment, adding: "We should all contribute to stop this pandemic."

US Navy Release Astonishiing Videos of "UFO" Encounters.

According to CNN Newly released "hazard reports" detailing encounters between US Navy aircraft and "unidentified aerial phenomena" reveal details about incidents that were thrust into the spotlight when the Pentagon officially declassified and released videos of three encounters late last month.
"The unknown aircraft appeared to be small in size, approximately the size of a suitcase, and silver in color," one report describing an incident from March 26, 2014, said.
During that encounter one of the Navy F/A-18 jets "passed within 1000' of the object, but was unable to positively determine the identity of the aircraft," the report added, saying the US Navy pilot "attempted to regain visual contact with the aircraft, but was unable."
CNN on Wednesday obtained the Navy Safety Center documents, which were previously labeled "For Official Use Only." They follow the Pentagon's official release late last month of three short videos showing "unidentified aerial phenomena" that had previously been made public by a private company.
The reports were first published by the Drive, a website covering auto news and military issues, which obtained the documents through a Freedom of Information Act request.
The videos show what appear to be unidentified flying objects rapidly moving while recorded by infrared cameras. Two of the videos contain Naval aviators reacting in awe at how quickly the objects are moving. One voice speculates that it could be a drone.

      Objects could be drones

The newly released reports appear to share this assessment, describing many of the unidentified aircraft as "Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS)," the Pentagon's official name for drone aircraft.
According to another incident report from November 2013 a Navy F/A-18 pilot "was able to visually acquire a small aircraft. The aircraft had an approximately 5 foot wingspan and was colored white with no other distinguishable features."
"Due to the small size, the aircraft was determined to be a UAS," the report said.
Another incident from June 27, 2013, said the encountered "aircraft was white in color and approximately the size and shape of a drone or missile," according to the report.
But the reports say that even when the unidentified flying objects are assessed to be drones the military was unable to identify who was operating the drone, presenting a major safety and security challenge to the Navy jets training in the area which are restricted military training airspace ranges off the east coast of Virginia.
"Post flight, the controlling agency contacted numerous local UAS operators, but none claimed knowledge of" the unidentified aircraft, the November report said.
"I feel it may only be a matter of time before one of our F/A-18 aircraft has a mid-air collision with an unidentified UAS," one of the authors of a report warned.
"In many ways" drones "pose a greater midair risk than manned aircraft. They are often less visually significant and less radar apparent than manned aircraft," the report said.
There is also the possibility that the drones could be operated by an adversary such as Russia or China who may have been seeking to collect information about the US military's operations.
The Navy now has formal guidelines for how its pilots can report when they believe they have seen possible UFOs.
The videos of the encounters were first released between December 2017 and March 2018 by To The Stars Academy of Arts & Sciences, a company co-founded by former Blink-182 musician Tom DeLonge that says it studies information about unidentified aerial phenomena.

      The truth is out there

The Pentagon has previously studied recordings of aerial encounters with unknown objects as part of a since-shuttered classified program that was launched at the behest of former Sen. Harry Reid of Nevada. The program was launched in 2007 and ended in 2012, according to the Pentagon, because they assessed that there were higher priorities that needed funding.
Nevertheless, Luis Elizondo, the former head of the classified program, told CNN in 2017 that he personally believes "there is very compelling evidence that we may not be alone."
"These aircraft -- we'll call them aircraft -- are displaying characteristics that are not currently within the US inventory nor in any foreign inventory that we are aware of," Elizondo said of objects they researched. He says he resigned from the Defense Department in 2017 in protest over the secrecy surrounding the program and the internal opposition to funding it.
President Donald Trump called the recently officially released Pentagon footage a "hell of a video" and told Reuters he wonders "if it's real."
"I just wonder if it's real," Trump said of the videos. "That's a hell of a video."

Man-Made Barrier Shrouding Earth or  firmament (Dome)?

Humans have long been shaping Earth’s landscape, but now scientists know we can shape our near-space environment as well. A certain type of communications — very low frequency, or VLF, radio communications — have been found to interact with particles in space, affecting how and where they move. At times, these interactions can create a barrier around Earth against natural high energy particle radiation in space. These results, part of a comprehensive paper on human-induced space weather, were recently published in Space Science Reviews.

The probes have noticed an interesting coincidence — the outward extent of the VLF bubble corresponds almost exactly to the inner edge of the Van Allen radiation belts, a layer of charged particles held in place by Earth’s magnetic fields. Dan Baker, director of the University of Colorado’s Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics in Boulder, coined this lower limit the “impenetrable barrier” and speculates that if there were no human VLF transmissions, the boundary would likely stretch closer to Earth. Indeed, comparisons of the modern extent of the radiation belts from Van Allen Probe data show the inner boundary to be much farther away than its recorded position in satellite data from the 1960s, when VLF transmissions were more limited. But is it really Man - made or God Made?
conspiracy theorist have long believe that our earth is surrounded by a dome known in the bible as the firmament. In Biblical cosmology, the firmament is the structure above the atmosphere, conceived as a vast solid dome. According to the Genesis creation narrative, God created the firmament to separate the "waters above" the earth from the "waters below" the earth.
        60-bible-verses-describing-a-flat-earth-inside-a-dom2

If the firmament theory is true then everything we have ever learned about the moon, sun, space exploration especially the moon landing would have been a liar all along. Serious explanation will have to be given by some agencies like NASA. It will certainly change the way we see science and God.
perhaps we will never know the truth, perhaps there is no dome or maybe we instead focus our time, energy and resources to solving the problem of hunger, poverty, terrorism, religious crisis, corruption, child abuse, woman/child trafficking, cancer and other diseases.

Just In: WAYNE ROONEY'S £12M MOVE FROM EVERTON TO DC UNITED AGREED IN PRINCIPLE

According to sky sports news, Wayne Rooney has agreed in principle to join MLS club DC United.
It is understood that a number of MLS franchises held talks with Rooney's agent Paul Stretford more than a year ago before England's top goalscorer returned to Goodison Park. This latest deal was drafted over the past seven weeks, during several visits to the States by Stretford alongside DC United's Chief Executive Jason Levein.

The agreement, which runs to the end of the MLS season in 2020, is yet to be signed, but Sky Sports  understands it would take a significant change of heart by Rooney and his family to stop the transfer going ahead.
Rooney's salary would make him the highest-paid player in the DC organisation. The club has one of the smallest payrolls in the MLS but, with the revenue from a new stadium expected to increase, the club is looking to invest in talent.

Rooney's proposed move is likely to be confirmed on July 10, when the MLS 'secondary' (or mid-season) transfer window opens. Before then, Rooney looks set to take his Premier League curtain-call on Sunday at West Ham's London Stadium.

Arsene Wenger to step down as Arsenal manager at the end of the season

Arsene Wenger is to leave Arsenal at the end of the season, ending a near 22-year reign as manager.

Wenger, 68, will leave a year before his existing contract was due to expire having led the club to three Premier League titles and seven FA Cups during a 22-year reign.

Appointed on 1 October 1996, the Frenchman is the Premier League's current longest-serving manager and has taken charge of a record 823 games.

"I am grateful for having had the privilege to serve the club for so many memorable years," said Wenger. "I managed the club with full commitment and integrity.
"To all the Arsenal lovers, take care of the values of the club."
Arsenal say a successor will be appointed "as soon as possible".
Arsenal majority shareholder Stan Kroenke described Friday's announcement as "one of the most difficult days we have ever had in all our years in sport".
He added: "One of the main reasons we got involved with Arsenal was because of what Arsene has brought to the club on and off the pitch.
"His longevity and consistency over such a sustained period at the highest level of the game will never be matched."
The American praised Wenger's "exceptional record", adding that he "transformed the identity of our club and of English football with his vision for how the game can be played".
"Three Premier League titles, including an entire season unbeaten, seven FA Cup triumphs and 20 successive years in the Champions League is an exceptional record. He has also transformed the identity of our club and of English football with his vision for how the game can be played."
        Thierry Henry and Arsene Wenger
In 2003-04, Wenger managed Arsenal's 'Invincibles', the first team since 1888-89 to go unbeaten through an English top-flight season

Wenger won his first Premier League title in 1997-98 as part of a domestic double

Appointed on 1 October 1996, he is the Premier League's current longest-serving manager and has taken charge of a record 823 games.
But some fans have turned on the Frenchman over the past two seasons as a result of their league performances.
Sunday's 2-1 defeat at Newcastle was their 11th in the league this season, equalling their worst tally in a campaign under Wenger.
They are 33 points behind leaders Manchester City, who have 87 points, and the same number away from bottom side West Brom, who have 21.
Arsenal finished outside the top four last term for the first time since Wenger arrived at the club, and are now 14 points behind fourth-placed Tottenham, with five matches remaining.
They face Spanish side Atletico Madrid, who are second in La Liga, in the Europa League semi-finals, with the first leg on Thursday.
